The Presiding Officer led the Senedd in observing a minute’s silence with the bell being rung at the start and end of the silence. The Presiding Officer led tributes and called the First Minister, party leaders and other Members to make contributions.
At 14.32, proceedings were suspended for 13 minutes. The bell was rung at 14.40.
At 14.45, the Llywydd notified the Senedd, in accordance with Standing Order 26.75, that the Disused Mine and Quarry Tips (Wales) Act 2025 was given Royal Assent on 11 September.

To propose that the Senedd, in accordance with Standing Order 29.6, agrees that provisions in the Animal Welfare (Import of Dogs, Cats and Ferrets) Bill in so far as they fall within the legislative competence of the Senedd, should be considered by the UK Parliament.
